Role Overview

The Key Account Manager (KAM) is a critical support role focused on delivering high-quality service and project management for selected clients within the A&E segment. This role ensures smooth coordination between sales, clients, and internal operations—from early specification through to final delivery. Success in this role depends on strong organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to proactively resolve challenges while enhancing client satisfaction and cross-sales opportunities.

The KAM will also provide administrative and sales support, attend or lead client meetings, and contribute to internal reporting and forecasting processes.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Sales Support

  • Oversee projects from tender through delivery, ensuring smooth progression and accurate communication throughout.
  • Track and maintain project data across internal systems (e.g. CE, Power BI), keeping records up to date with relevant notes, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Take responsibility for post-specification follow-ups and provide clear updates to team members.
  • Coordinate internal project catch-ups for larger initiatives to ensure stakeholder alignment.
  • Monitor stock levels and lead times; flag potential issues early to safeguard delivery schedules.
  • Assist with value engineering, design schemes, and sampling in the initial stages of key projects.
  • Analyze and understand furniture schedules; create lift-offs, verify specifications, and identify appropriate product alternatives.
  • Manage logistics and processes for cross-border projects, ensuring interdepartmental coordination.
  • Collaborate with internal Dealer and Industry teams to collect and share essential project information.
  • Support sales teams with accurate pipeline tracking and forecasting data.
  • Join or lead client meetings when needed, offering insight into processes and project status.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with A&E designers and the wider supply chain.
  • Attend internal meetings to stay aligned with project developments and broader business strategies.
  • Represent the business at selected networking and industry events.

Business Support & Analysis

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly forecasts and performance updates for the Project Team.
  • Use Power BI to analyze pipelines, projects, and account-level performance data.
  • Lead and facilitate internal workshops and working sessions as needed to support team goals.
  • Develop tools and propose process improvements to support project efficiency and client service.
  • Maintain a strong command of internal reporting tools, dashboards, and forecasting systems.
