About the Company

A fast-growing European leader in cybersecurity, specialising in the design, implementation, and management of advanced security services and solutions. With deep expertise in managed security services, threat detection and response, and security innovation. Cybersecurity is the core focus and they are committed to developing cutting-edge tools and capabilities through a blend of internal R&D and partnerships with global technology providers. As part of the continued growth and operational scaling in the UK, they are hiring a Finance Director to drive strategic financial leadership locally and contribute to group-wide performance initiatives.

Role Overview

The Finance Director will be a key member of both the UK divisional management and wider group finance teams. This role partners closely with the UK Country Manager and collaborates with group stakeholders to implement financial strategy, drive performance and profitability, enhance reporting capabilities, and lead finance team development and integration efforts. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both strategic vision and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic & Financial Planning: Lead the UK contribution to group-wide financial planning: annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and 5-year strategic plans. Develop and maintain divisional KPIs, dashboards, and management reports to inform key business decisions. Provide regular performance updates to both local and group-level stakeholders.
  • Commercial Finance & Business Partnering: Deliver analysis and recommendations to support pricing, service development, and margin improvement. Oversee development of customer reporting tools to monitor volume, profitability, and churn. Lead initiatives on pricing governance and periodic reviews to optimise revenue.
  • Operational Finance & Controls: Strengthen and standardise financial processes across locations. Lead benchmarking, variance analysis, and cost improvement initiatives in partnership with operations. Implement non-revenue spend controls and investment appraisal models.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and develop a finance team of approximately 10 across London and Maidstone. Oversee restructuring, integration, and capability-building within the finance function. Champion operational discipline and data-driven decision-making across the business.
  • Governance & Compliance: Ensure alignment with group policies, local compliance, and information security frameworks. Stay ahead of economic, technological, and regulatory developments affecting the business.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a senior financial leadership role, ideally within cybersecurity, SaaS, or managed services.
  • Track record of partnering with operational leaders and contributing to business transformation.
  • Strong command of commercial finance, FP&A, and financial reporting in complex or matrix environments.
  • Experience leading multi-site teams and scaling financial operations during growth or M&A integration.

Attributes

  • Results-driven with a pragmatic, hands-on approach.
  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and commercial insight.
  • Confident communicator and leader—collaborative yet firm when needed.
  • Comfortable operating in dynamic, fast-paced, and highly regulated environments.

Location & Travel

Based in London (Waterloo office), with weekly travel to Maidstone. Occasional travel to Belgium and other group sites as required.
