Who are we? CSS Service Solution Architects (SSAs) are support and managed services presales subject matter experts. They work closely with sales teams during opportunities, engaging with senior levels within Oracle customers to understand requirements, explore options, and develop service propositions. SSAs help customers maximize their Oracle Cloud (OCI and SaaS), on-premise, and hybrid investments to innovate and succeed. The focus is on service solutions for Oracle technologies, including complex custom requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop, and define Oracle CSS service solutions for customer opportunities, supporting sales efforts
- Collaborate with customers, management, and account teams to understand business and IT strategies, and identify large-scale CSS opportunities
- Gather and assess customer needs, translating them into CSS service solutions
- Lead virtual teams effectively
- Communicate with customers at senior levels
- Build trusted advisor relationships to foster customer loyalty
- Leverage extensive networks across Oracle xLoBs
- Coordinate internally and externally to design and develop service solutions
- Create compelling proposals and presentations
- Understand the competitive landscape of services
- Work with CSS delivery teams throughout the sales cycle
- Navigate Oracle tools and processes to support sales
- Share knowledge across deal teams and the CSS community
Experience:
- 7-10 years in IT services, with experience in external IT service providers
- Understanding of enterprise applications and IT infrastructure, including cloud and Oracle technologies
- Experience in services presales roles within IT providers
- Knowledge of IT service operations, management, and outsourcing
- Project and program management experience, including large transformations and migrations
- Contract and commercial management skills
- Experience in sales and complex deal negotiations
- Expertise in architecting and delivering complex IT service solutions
- Trusted advisor roles to C-level executives
- Ability to present compelling proposals to large audiences
