Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking a highly experienced Senior Principal Data Center Operator to lead strategic initiatives, operational governance, and business transformation programs across the global Data Center Operations organization. This role serves as a trusted partner to senior leadership, driving large-scale initiatives that improve operational effectiveness, organizational scalability, and business performance.
The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing governance frameworks, delivering executive-level reporting and insights, and ensuring strategic programs are executed consistently across a rapidly growing global organization. A key focus of this role will be supporting OCI's commitment to industry-leading levels of Data Center Uptime, Availability, Reliability, Operational Resilience, and Service Continuity.
Through effective governance, operational analytics, strategic planning, and program leadership, you will help ensure operational risks are proactively identified and mitigated, performance standards are consistently achieved, and the organization is positioned to scale while maintaining the highest levels of uptime and customer trust.
This is a highly visible role requiring exceptional stakeholder management, operational leadership, business analysis, program management, and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading complex cross-functional initiatives, establishing governance mechanisms, and driving strategic outcomes in large-scale data center, cloud infrastructure, or technology environments.
Required Qualifications- 10+ years of experience in Data Center Operations, Business Operations, Program Management, Strategy & Operations, Technical Program Management, Business Analysis, or related disciplines.
- Demonstrated experience leading large-scale strategic initiatives and cross-functional programs within complex global organizations.
- Proven ability to establish governance frameworks and operating models that drive execution and accountability at scale.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to translate strategic objectives into measurable business outcomes.
- Extensive experience developing executive reporting, dashboards, KPIs, scorecards, and operational performance frameworks.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable recommendations.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, including experience working with executive leadership.
- Experience driving organizational change, business transformation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong understanding of project and program governance, risk management, dependency management, and operational planning.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.

- Advanced Business Intelligence and Analytics experience, including Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms.
- Project Management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or PgMP.
- Experience developing enterprise governance models and executive operating rhythms.
- Experience with Atlassian products, including Jira and Confluence.
- ITIL certification or experience operating within IT Service Management environments.
- Experience supporting executive business reviews, organizational planning, and operational governance functions.
- Working knowledge of Data Center infrastructure, including Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems, Capacity planning, Server hardware, Structured cabling, Facility operations.
