We are seeking a Drainage Lead who specialises in the design of sustainable drainage systems, wastewater networks, water distribution systems, hydrological studies and flood risk management. The Drainage Lead will manage workflow through remote design support, interface with clients, assess workloads and deliver and coordinate within the company delivery system.
The successful candidate will have to be located in London.
Minimum Requirements- A minimum of 10+ years relevant experience in a senior role in a design environment.
- Experience designing drainage systems knowledge of the UK Codes of Practice, CIRIA C753.
- Experience assessing Flood Risk in accordance with The Planning System.
- Be proficient in the use of Causeway Flow, Micro Drainage, AutoDesk, Civil 3D or equivalent.
- The ability to communicate design intent and philosophy to team members and non-technical interested parties.
- Experience leading projects from inception through the design process.
- Have a track record of successful client facing roles.
- Strong working experience in the UK.
- In addition to the above, will have some of the following:
- Have a strong desire to lead projects and be accountable for their success.
- In-depth knowledge with UK planning processes.
- Excellent written communication and report writing skills.
- Attained Chartered Engineer Status.
- Have experience in Flood Risk Assessments and Flood Alleviation Schemes.
- Strong knowledge of Sustainable Drainage Systems and best practice.
- Procurement, tender assessment, and supervision experience.
- Experience in AutoCAD Drafting and specifications.
