As a Principal Cloud Architect, you will design and deliver next-generation High Performance Computing (HPC), GPU, and AI solutions on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). You will work with customers ranging from AI startups to large enterprises across the UK and EMEA, helping them architect, deploy, and optimise complex HPC clusters, AI platforms, and intelligent AI solutions in both proof-of-concept and production environments. This is a highly visible customer-facing role that combines deep technical expertise with strategic consulting. You will partner with customers throughout their cloud and AI transformation journey while collaborating closely with Oracle Product Management, Engineering, and Sales teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and deploy large-scale HPC and GPU infrastructure on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- Architect scalable AI and accelerated computing solutions using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) and Kubernetes.
- Develop automated deployment frameworks for cluster provisioning, software installation, and lifecycle management.
- Partner with enterprise customers to design solutions that meet AI, machine learning, and high-performance computing requirements.
- Design and support Large Language Model (LLM), Agentic AI, and AI platform deployments from proof-of-concept through production.
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor on cloud architecture, migration strategies, and AI infrastructure best practices.
- Deliver customer workshops, architecture reviews, technical presentations, and hands-on enablement sessions.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Support, and Sales teams to influence product direction and resolve technical challenges.
- Develop reusable technical assets including solution architectures, reference implementations, demonstrations, blogs, white papers, and competitive positioning materials.
- Build and maintain relationships with strategic AI technology partners to deliver integrated customer solutions.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
Professional Experience
- 5+ years of experience in Pre-Sales, Solution Architecture, Technical Consulting, or Customer Success.
- Experience designing cloud-based HPC, AI, or GPU solutions for enterprise customers.
- Experience engaging with both technical teams and executive stakeholders.
Technical Qualifications
Candidates should demonstrate experience in the following areas:
- HPC and GPU architecture across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or other leading public cloud platforms.
- Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible.
- Python, Bash, and PowerShell scripting.
- Kubernetes and container orchestration.
- HPC cluster management platforms including Slurm, PBS, or Bright Cluster Manager.
- High-performance networking technologies including RDMA and InfiniBand.
- MPI and distributed file systems.
- Cloud-native architectures.
- AI/ML platforms, Large Language Models (LLMs), inference services, and AI infrastructure.
