Specification Sales – Clerkenwell Showroom – Premium Design-Led Brand - London

Are you an experienced A&D Sales Consultant or Specification Sales professional with a passion for premium design-led products and a proven ability to build relationships, influence specifications and win business in the London market? This is a rare opportunity to join a European design brand with genuine market credibility and to play a central role in its London growth story. You will be based out of our stunning partner showroom, Material Source London, working with some of London’s most exciting architectural and interior design practices, and given the autonomy, the tools and the platform to make a real commercial impact.

Your Role: what you’ll be doing

  • As A&D Sales Consultant, you will be at the sharp end of Orac’s London growth strategy: influencing specifications, converting opportunities and building lasting relationships across London’s most dynamic commercial interiors community.
  • You will own your territory and your pipeline, operating with genuine autonomy while working closely with an experienced local team.
  • The role is predominantly field-based across London, with our Clerkenwell showroom as key hub for client meetings, presentations and networking.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Raise and strengthen Orac’s brand presence across London’s Architecture & Design community
  • Drive specification activity and conversion across workplace, hospitality, education, healthcare, retail and wider commercial interior sectors
  • Build and develop relationships with architects, interior designers, Design & Build firms, Fit-Out contractors, specialist installers and end-user clients
  • Identify, track and convert specification-led opportunities, maintaining a structured and ambitious project pipeline
  • Develop and execute strategic territory plans to grow market share and commercial performance.
  • Deliver product presentations, showroom meetings and design consultations
  • Act as a visible and credible brand ambassador at industry events, launches and networking activities
  • Maintain accurate pipeline reporting and activity tracking via CRM
  • Collaborate closely with the Country Manager and UK team on strategy, customer insights and project delivery

What you bring?

  • Proven track record in specification or commercial sales within flooring, wallcoverings, interior finishes, furniture, textiles, acoustics or other closely related design-led interior product sectors is a plus
  • An existing and active network across architects, interior designers, Design & Build firms, Fit-Out contractors and other key commercial project stakeholders in London
  • Demonstrated ability to build a project pipeline, influence specification and convert opportunities into commercial results
  • Strong commercial mindset with a proactive hunter mentality
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to read technical drawings and understand project specifications
  • Disciplined CRM user with strong pipeline management habits
  • Digitally fluent, comfortable with technology and tools that enhance and streamline the sales process
  • Based within a reasonable commute of Central London
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or a related field

What Success Looks Like

  • Within 30 days: You’ve reviewed your territory, completed product training and booked your first independent customer appointments.
  • Within 60 days: You’re actively managing all handover accounts, have conducted 15+ customer meetings and logged all interactions consistently in CRM, with at least 2 projects captured in the pipeline
  • At 90 days: You’re running minimum 8 in-person appointments per week, delivered your first London event and are actively contributing to team strategy
