Flavour Ingredients Account Manager (whole of the UK)

Full time (37.5 h/week) | Permanent | United Kingdom

Office based (Carterton, Oxfordshire), with weekly customer visits

Your impact within the OQEMA Group

The ideal candidate is a motivated, well‑organised individual who has a deep understanding of prospecting and developing strong relationships with customers across the Flavour Industry, with a focus on new business.

Responsibilities

  • The delivery of gross profit and budgeted targets
  • Manage and develop customer accounts, portfolio, and market territories
  • Develop an understanding of the key markets and products within
  • Completion of customer tenders and price quotations
  • Manage and create strong, trusted relationships with customers to maintain, grow and improve profitability
  • Grow existing customer spend and develop the sales product portfolio through range selling
  • Open and develop new trading customers through networking and prospecting
  • Interact with the product management team to identify new product opportunities and co‑ordinate product sourcing.
  • Liaise with all relevant OQEMA commercials teams, attend sector training, group meetings and trade shows on a regular basis.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ of sales experience within the Flavour/Fragrance industry
  • Product knowledge of aroma chemicals, essential oils and cooling agents
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • Ability to develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders and contacts.
