Do you have character and are you ready to take on responsibility and make a difference? OQEMA Limited in the UK is looking for your support as a Business Development Manager - Food (Midlands/M62 corridor). Full time (37.5 h/week) | Permanent | United Kingdom | Hybrid.

Your impact within the OQEMA Group:

The ideal candidate is a motivated, well-organised individual who has a deep understanding of prospecting and developing strong relationships with customers across the Food Industry, with a focus on new business.

Responsibilities:

  • The delivery of gross profit and budgeted targets
  • Manage and develop customer accounts, portfolio, and market territories
  • Develop an understanding of the key markets and products within
  • Completion of customer tenders and price quotations
  • Develop, maintain, and convert the sales pipeline
  • Manage and create strong, trusted relationships with customers to maintain, grow and improve profitability
  • Grow existing customer spend and develop the sales product portfolio through range selling
  • Open and develop new trading customers through networking and prospecting
  • Interact with the product management team to identify new product opportunities and co-ordinate product sourcing
  • Liaise with all relevant OQEMA commercials teams, attend sector training, group meetings and trade shows on a regular basis

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of sales experience within the Flavour industry
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • Customer focused
  • Ability to develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders and contacts
