Make an impact in our Sales team. The Head of Sales Academy role will design, build, and lead the Opus Sales Academy (Pathfinder), creating a scalable, high-performance talent engine that develops individuals from entry level through to fully capable, quota-carrying sales professionals. The role is accountable for ensuring a consistent pipeline of high-quality sales talent, capable of generating and closing business within the SME segment, and progressing into the broader Opus sales organisation. In addition, the role will support the Sales Leadership Team by embedding best practice, improving sales rigour, and coaching Sales Team Leaders to drive higher standards of execution, consistency, and performance.
Key Accountabilities
- Design and implement the end-to-end Sales Academy model
- Creation of a structured, scalable Academy framework (curriculum, milestones, progression pathways)
- Develop high-quality sales professionals from the ground up.
- Measurable progression of Academy participants into revenue-generating roles
- Enable Academy participants to generate and close business in the SME market.
- Development of repeatable SME sales plays and execution frameworks
- Support Sales Team Leaders in improving performance, consistency, and execution.
- Delivery of structured coaching frameworks across the sales function
- Embed best practice sales processes across the organisation.
- Standardisation of core sales methodologies and behaviours
- Work closely with the Sales Director and Sales Leadership Team to enhance performance.
- Alignment of Academy output with business growth priorities
- Provide clear visibility on Academy performance and sales capability.
- Reporting on Academy progression, performance, and ROI
