OHL Line Design Engineer / Overhead Line Design Engineers are required to join a large, world-leading transmission and distribution engineering consultancy, to work on the design of large-scale HV projects across England and Scotland. The role is remote across England or Scotland, with the scope to travel to meetings/client from time to time. Salary Circa £50-85k + Bens + Bonus (You must be eligible to work in the UK).
This role will suit Overhead Line Design Engineers from Mid to Senior level from a consultancy or energy/Distribution companies, and will offer great progression and the chance to work on varied and challenging projects.
Key skills required for the OHL Design Engineer would include:- Proven experience in high voltage OHL Line OR Overhead line design or overhead transmission engineering typically (132kV - 400kV) for T&D/electrical transmission.
- Proficiency in PLS CADD/Tower for design outputs.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Ability to work effectively in a dispersed and remote team using collaboration software like Microsoft Teams.
- Awareness of Health and Safety impacts on transmission line construction contracts.
- Experience with CAD design software.
- Ability to create PLS CADD Models from topographical survey data.
- Conduct overhead transmission line design studies for high voltage construction and consultancy projects.
