We\’re working with an early stage start-up that’s on a mission to bring transparency and credibility back to the online world. Operating at the intersection of data, trust, and consumer insights, their platform uses mathematical analytics to detect patterns of manipulation and surface authentic information that people can rely on.
As they scale, they’re looking for a mid- to senior-level Data Scientist to join the founding team.
What You\’ll Be Working On
- Designing statistical models and algorithms to spot behavioural anomalies and flag questionable patterns in user-generated content
- Exploring large-scale datasets to identify trends and fine-tune fraud detection approaches
- Building feedback loops and dashboards that track model accuracy and real-world performance
- Translating analytical insights into strategy by working closely with founders and engineering teams
- Producing clear, concise reports to shape product direction and inform clients
What We\’re Looking For
- Deep experience in time series analysis, anomaly detection, and probabilistic modelling
- Strong Python skills (NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn, matplotlib) and familiarity with SQL
- Comfort with cloud environments (e.g., AWS) and experimentation frameworks
- A passion for solving ambiguous problems with creative, data-driven methods
- Clear communication and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Bonus Skills
- Natural language processing or graph theory experience
- Familiarity with the inner workings of online review platforms or user-generated content systems
