Stable and profitable business. I am currently supporting a client with 2 new hires! 1 Senior and 1 Tech Lead Ruby position. Tech Lead to help shape and lead a highly experienced Ruby engineering team, driving delivery and technical direction across a critical product platform. This role is ideal for a hands-on Lead who thrives in a fast-moving environment and is excited about using LLMs and agentic workflows to accelerate engineering output.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Acting as a technical lead working alongside the Engineering Leader (who also has a very strong track record in the Ruby space)
- Leading a team of experienced engineers to design, build, and ship quickly
- Supporting the ongoing migration from Heroku to AWS
- Owning system design decisions and guiding architecture evolution
- Remaining hands-on in coding, particularly within the Rails ecosystem

- Hotwire / some React involvement
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Tech Lead or senior-level engineer in Ruby/Rails
- Strong architectural and system design capabilities
- Comfortable being hands-on while leading a team
- Experience or strong interest in LLMs and developer productivity tooling
- A calm, methodical approach with a bias for delivery and impact
