Our client, a major, fast‑growing cybersecurity consultancy is significantly expanding its UK CHECK capability this year. With a global footprint and a reputation for delivering high‑assurance security testing to government and critical national infrastructure, our client is investing heavily in its UK offensive security function.
As part of this growth, they are seeking DV‑cleared CHECK Team Members and CHECK Team Leaders to join their elite testing division and help shape a world‑class CHECK practice.
The Opportunity
This is a rare chance to join a consultancy at a pivotal moment of expansion. You’ll work alongside highly experienced security leaders, contribute to the development of a rapidly scaling CHECK capability, and take on high‑impact work across government, defence, and national security environments.
For CTM & CTL
- Deliver high quality penetration testing and security assurance engagements under the NCSC CHECK scheme.
- Conduct testing across infrastructure, applications, cloud, and bespoke systems within high‑assurance environments.
- Produce clear, actionable reports and communicate findings to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Work closely with government and defence clients, ensuring testing meets strict security and compliance requirements.
Additional Responsibilities for CTL
- Lead CHECK engagements end to end, ensuring technical excellence and client satisfaction.
- Mentor, guide, and support CTMs and junior testers.
- Contribute to the development of methodologies, tooling, and internal offensive security capability.
- Act as a senior technical authority during scoping, delivery, and reporting phases.
- Represent the consultancy in high assurance client discussions and technical reviews.
Required Skills & Experience
- Valid DV clearance.
- CTM for Team Member roles.
- CTL for Team Leader roles.
- Strong background in penetration testing across multiple domains.
- Experience working in secure government or defence environments.
- Additional certifications (e.g., CREST CCT INF/APP, OSCP, OSCE, OSEP, OSEE).
- Experience with red teaming, threat led testing, or advanced adversarial simulation.
- Familiarity with cloud security testing (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Interest in contributing to tooling, research, or internal capability development.
