We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Test Engineer to join our growing delivery team. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of modern web applications across a cutting-edge tech stack. This role requires hands-on expertise in automated testing, strong collaboration with development teams, and experience working across cloud-native environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute automated and manual test cases for web applications
  • Build and maintain robust test automation frameworks, particularly using Playwright (essential)
  • Collaborate closely with developers, DevOps, and product teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC
  • Perform frontend and backend testing across Node.js and Spring Boot applications
  • Validate data integrity and application performance involving MongoDB
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using GitLab
  • Execute testing in AWS-based environments, ensuring scalability and reliability
  • Identify, log, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and best practices

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience as a Test Engineer / QA Engineer
  • Proven expertise with Playwright (MANDATORY)
  • Experience testing Node.js frontend applications
  • Familiarity with Spring Boot backend systems
  • Hands-on experience with MongoDB
  • Experience working with GitLab CI/CD pipelines
  • Exposure to AWS cloud environments
  • Solid understanding of API testing and integration testing
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Working Arrangement

Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle, Birmingham - 60% Per Week in these locations.
