We're working closely with a leading defence organisation to support the hiring of multiple Network Solutions Engineers for a high-impact programme focused on battlefield communications. This is a rare chance to contribute to mission‑critical systems involving RF radio and digital communications across tactical and maritime domains. If you have experience in secure, deployed environments and a strong foundation in IP networking, this role offers the chance to work on nationally significant projects alongside top‑tier defence partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and deliver robust IP networking solutions (routing, switching, protocols) for constrained and tactical environments
- Integrate COTS technologies into military‑grade systems
- Collaborate with stakeholders including MOD, DSTL, and defence primes (e.g., Leidos, Lockheed Martin, Boeing)
- Lead full lifecycle delivery from concept through deployment
- Engage directly with clients, providing technical leadership and adaptability in dynamic settings
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- SC or DV clearance
- Experience in defence communications (MOD, DSTL, or equivalent)
- Strong technical grounding in IP Networking (CCMP, CCIE or similar)
- Familiarity with battlefield/tactical domains and deployed infrastructure
- Proven ability to work across the full engineering lifecycle
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
In return, you'll get a competitive salary of £80-90k, and hybrid working of 2-3 days a week onsite in Dorset.
