Overview: A leading Data & Analytics consultancy is seeking a Microsoft Fabric Consultant to join their growing team. This is a hands-on role focused on designing and delivering enterprise-grade solutions using Microsoft Fabric technologies. You’ll work closely with clients and internal teams to build scalable data pipelines, semantic models, and visualizations that support advanced analytics and business intelligence.
This is an opportunity for you to own the new fabric division which will be focusing on clients who are going through transformations in the UK.
There is also a clear progression route to Solutions Architect for people who would like to get that opportunity.
As a Microsoft Fabric Consultant you don\’t need to be an expert but you do need at least 1-3 years experience and have enough drive to make this role your own!
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead development using Microsoft Fabric components: Data Factory, Lakehouse, Power BI
- Architect and optimize data pipelines for performance and scalability
- Build and maintain semantic models and datasets for reporting and analytics
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders
- Ensure best practices in data governance, security, and compliance
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to internal knowledge sharing
- Participate in client workshops and solution design sessions
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience with Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory, Lakehouse, Power BI)
- Strong proficiency in SQL, DAX, and Power Query (M)
- Experience with Azure Data Services (Synapse, Data Lake, Azure SQL)
- Solid understanding of data modelling, ETL processes, and BI architecture
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and version control (Git)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently and lead technical delivery
Desirable:
- Microsoft certifications (e.g., Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate, Power BI Data Analyst Associate)
- Consulting or client-facing experience
- Knowledge of AI/ML integration within analytics platforms
- Understanding of data mesh and Microsoft Fabric architectures
