As a Blue Team Engineer, you’ll play a key role in defending client environments, strengthening security posture, and responding to real world threats. You’ll work alongside experienced security professionals while gaining hands on exposure to advanced tooling and enterprise grade environments. This role is ideal for someone with foundational cyber experience who wants to level up quickly through structured training, mentorship, and access to cutting edge security platforms.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor, analyse, and respond to security alerts across SIEM, EDR, and other detection platforms
- Support incident response activities, including triage, investigation, and remediation
- Assist in threat hunting and proactive detection initiatives
- Contribute to vulnerability management and security hardening efforts
- Maintain and improve security tooling, dashboards, and detection rules
- Produce clear documentation, reports, and recommendations for clients
- Collaborate with senior engineers to enhance detection capabilities and blue team processes
- 1–2 years’ experience in cyber security, SOC, blue team, or related technical role
- MUST have a strong academic background, A*, 1:1's, etc
- Understanding of common attack techniques (MITRE ATT&CK, malware behaviour, phishing, etc.)
- Familiarity with SIEM/EDR tools (e.g., Sentinel, Splunk, CrowdStrike, Defender)
- Basic knowledge of networking, Windows/Linux systems, and security fundamentals
- Curiosity, analytical thinking, and a desire to learn fast
- Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset
- Clear progression pathways as the consultancy continues to expand
