An exciting opportunity for an experienced Supplier Quality Manager to lead quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives across a complex logistics and supply chain program. The role will focus on ensuring quality compliance across procurement, storage, and distribution processes while driving supplier performance and audit activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance frameworks across the supply chain
- Conduct internal, external, and supplier audits in line with ISO9001 / AQAP standards
- Act as the main point of contact for supplier quality issues and escalations
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and enhance quality processes
- Ensure compliance with quality management systems and operational procedures
- Produce audit reports with actionable insights for performance improvement
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to monitor and improve programme performance
- Support audit readiness by coordinating documentation and compliance evidence
- Deliver quality training and awareness across the business
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers
Key Requirements
- Certified ISO9001 Lead Auditor
- Proven experience in quality assurance within logistics, procurement, or supply chain environments
- Strong understanding of audit processes and compliance frameworks
- Experience managing supplier quality and performance
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Willingness to travel within the UK and occasionally overseas
Desirable Skills
- Experience with defence or regulated environments
- Knowledge of AQAP, defence standards, or similar frameworks
- Familiarity with tools such as Power BI, SharePoint, Jira, and MS Office
- Experience with procurement/sourcing platforms
