Information Technology Asset Manager

IT Asset Manager (Visual Basic) | 12 Months | 400 – 500 | Outside IR35 | Hybrid

Were hiring a contract IT Asset Manager with strong experience in HP Asset Manager and Visual Basic to support our clients IT operations. Youll be responsible for managing IT assets, developing automation tools, and ensuring compliance across infrastructure.

This role requires onsite work in Wokingham 2-3 days per week (Gradually tailing off throughout the contract) and pays between 400 – 500 per day Outside IR35.

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency in Visual Basic and scripting.
• Strong experience with HP Asset Manager and asset management systems.
• Familiarity with SQL Server , XML , and workflow automation.
• Excellent analytical and documentation skills.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote setup.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage IT assets, ITAM, SAM, HAM using HP Asset Manager 9.80
• Develop and maintain internal tooling using Visual Basic and SQL .
• Track and report on asset lifecycle, usage, and compliance.
• Collaborate with IT and procurement teams to streamline asset processes.
• Maintain documentation and support audit readiness.
• Willingness to travel for onsite work once or twice a month if required.
