Head of IT & Strategy | Energy Retail | £115k – £125k

This role is located in London, UK. The base pay range is £115,000 – £125,000, with bonus, up to 30 days annual leave, and additional benefits.

Opus Recruitment Solutions is looking for an experienced IT leader to drive forward their business within the energy sector. As the B2B aggregator and supplier for renewable power, we are expanding our team to support a new Energy Trading Hub Strategy.

You will report to the VP of IT and work closely with senior stakeholders across Sales and Operations. Your responsibilities include strategic leadership of the UK energy retail IT estate, training and mentoring a high‑performing team, driving a portfolio of projects, and ensuring a cost‑effective support model for Salesforce applications.

What we need

• Proven experience delivering technology initiatives in large, multi‑business unit organisations.
• Strong background in energy retail IT, covering sales, customer operations, and back‑office processes.
• Expertise in CRM systems (ideally Salesforce) and customer billing solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to lead senior teams and manage complex change portfolios.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of best practices in IT architecture, project delivery (PMI, Prince2), and service management (ITIL).
