Introduction

We are currently seeking an experienced PMO Manager to support a large-scale Digital Transformation programme for our client based in Exeter. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned PMO professional with strong stakeholder management capabilities and experience working within technology-driven environments.

The successful candidate will play a key role in driving PMO governance, programme reporting, RAID management, and delivery coordination across multiple workstreams, working closely with senior stakeholders and technical teams including DevOps engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage PMO activities across ongoing digital transformation initiatives
  • Oversee governance, reporting, planning, and programme controls
  • Manage and maintain RAID logs, ensuring risks and issues are tracked and mitigated effectively
  • Coordinate cross-functional delivery activities across technical and business teams
  • Engage with senior stakeholders to provide clear programme visibility and status reporting
  • Support resource planning, dependencies, and delivery timelines
  • Ensure PMO best practices, standards, and processes are consistently applied
  • Manage and mentor PMO team members where required

Required Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working within PMO functions
  • Proven experience managing sizeable PMO teams
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience supporting large-scale Digital Transformation programmes
  • Previous experience working alongside technical teams, ideally DevOps engineers
  • Strong expertise in RAID log management and programme governance
  • Excellent organisational and coordination skills
  • Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced delivery environments

Desirable

  • Experience within Agile or hybrid delivery environments
  • Familiarity with project delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, or similar
  • Previous experience within enterprise IT or technology transformation programmes

Working Arrangement

  • Hybrid working model – 2 days per week on-site in Exeter
  • Initial 6-month contract
  • Inside IR35
