This is a rare opportunity to join a fast‑growing, data‑driven organisation operating at the intersection of events, media and real‑time digital experiences. They are investing heavily in data and AI and are looking for a senior, commercially minded Data Architect to take ownership of data strategy end‑to‑end from how data is engineered and modelled, right through to how insights are surfaced and used at board level.
Why this role is different
This isn’t a “keep the lights on” data role. You’ll be trusted to shape the data vision, influence senior stakeholders, and answer big questions such as:
- What is our data really telling us in real time?
- How do we turn live event data into meaningful commercial insight?
- Where can AI and LLMs genuinely add value rather than noise?
You’ll work closely with C‑suite leaders, translating complex data into clear, actionable narratives that influence strategy, product and growth.
What you’ll be doing
- Own and evolve the data strategy across multiple products and platforms
- Design and build scalable, modern data architectures on GCP
- Lead the data conversation with senior stakeholders, regularly presenting insights to C‑suite
- Identify trends and opportunities within real‑time and near‑real‑time data
- Enable advanced analytics, BI and self‑service insight using Looker
- Work heavily with BigQuery on large, complex datasets
- Explore and implement LLM / AI use cases, particularly around insight generation and automation
- Partner closely with engineering and product to ensure data is truly embedded into decision‑making
- Set best practice around data engineering, version control and collaboration using GitHub
- Act as a technical and strategic mentor across data and analytics
What they’re looking for
We’re open on background; the common thread is seniority, curiosity and impact. You might come from:
- A senior Analytics Engineer who’s moved into strategy
- Or a Data / AI specialist with strong engineering foundations
Key experience includes:
- Strong hands‑on experience with GCP, BigQuery and Looker
- Solid Python skills and modern data engineering practices
- Experience working with or around LLMs / AI (use‑case driven, not theoretical)
- Confidence working with real‑time or event‑driven data
- The ability to tell a story with data especially to non‑technical, senior audiences
Bonus (not essential)
- Exposure to event, media, streaming or high‑volume consumer data
- Experience in fast‑growth or product‑led environments
What’s on offer
- Fully remote (UK) with autonomy and trust
- A genuinely strategic role with visibility and influence
- Opportunity to work with cutting‑edge data and AI tooling
- A business that wants data to drive decisions not just report on them
