An enterprise organisation is seeking an experienced D365 Environmental Services Analyst to take ownership of its Microsoft Dynamics 365 environment and security landscape. This is a hands‑on, senior technical role with clear design authority, combining BAU operational leadership with platform transformation and migration activity. You will be responsible for ensuring D365 environments are secure, compliant, scalable, and high performing, while supporting the migration from legacy ERP platforms to D365 and driving continuous service improvement. The role works closely with senior stakeholders, transformation programmes, delivery partners, and the wider Information Systems function.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and lead the D365 environment and security operating model, ensuring stability, resilience, and compliance with enterprise and Microsoft standards.
- Act as technical authority for D365 environments, security design, and release governance.
- Provide strategic guidance to internal environment teams and third‑party partners across provisioning, lifecycle management, and decommissioning.
- Design and govern D365 security, including role‑based access control, segregation of duties (SoD), audit readiness, and compliance assurance.
- Provide design authority and oversight for migrations, upgrades, major changes, and platform roadmaps.
- Govern release management using D365 LCS / Power Platform Admin Centre (PPAC), Azure DevOps, and Microsoft release controls.
- Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues, incidents, and cross‑environment challenges.
- Maintain and continuously improve service documentation, standards, runbooks, and knowledge assets.
- Provide senior technical guidance across D365‑integrated applications and platforms.

You will be a confident senior D365 professional with a strong balance of technical depth, operational discipline, and stakeholder engagement.
Essential experience and skills
- Proven experience managing enterprise‑scale ERP or business‑critical systems.
- Strong hands‑on expertise in D365 environment and security management.
- In‑depth knowledge of D365 Lifecycle Services (LCS), release management, and Azure DevOps.
- SYSADMIN‑level experience, including defining, governing, and reviewing D365 security and business roles.
- Demonstrable experience delivering ERP implementations, migrations, and environment transformations.
- Experience providing technical leadership and delivery assurance within large programmes or change initiatives.
- Understanding of ISV integrations, platform lifecycle management, and enterprise support models.
- Ability to balance operational excellence with longer‑term strategic improvement.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non‑technical audiences.
