The Opportunity
I'm currently working with an innovative, growth-focused business that's looking to hire a Creative Strategist to join its expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who sits at the intersection of marketing strategy, customer psychology, creative thinking and commercial performance. If you're passionate about understanding why customers behave the way they do and using that insight to shape high-performing campaigns, this could be the perfect next move.
Importantly, this is not a traditional copywriting, design or campaign management role. Instead, you'll be responsible for ensuring that creative thinking directly contributes to customer acquisition, conversion growth and commercial success.
About the Role
As Creative Strategist, you'll bridge the gap between acquisition strategy, customer behaviour, campaign development and creative execution. Working closely with senior stakeholders across growth, creative, UX, CRO and lifecycle teams, you'll develop strategic messaging frameworks and behavioural influence strategies that improve customer engagement and conversion performance across the entire demand journey.
Your focus will be on ensuring creative output is aligned with:
- Customer behaviour and psychology
- Acquisition economics
- Demand generation and capture
- Commercial objectives
- Conversion optimisation
This is a highly strategic role for someone who enjoys combining insight, creativity and performance marketing to drive measurable business results.
Key Responsibilities
- Creative Strategy & Messaging
- Develop commercially effective creative strategies aligned to acquisition goals
- Translate customer insights and behavioural data into compelling messaging directions
- Build strategic frameworks that guide creative execution across multiple channels
- Ensure messaging aligns with customer intent, psychology and business priorities
- Drive creative approaches that contribute to profitable customer acquisition
- Customer Behaviour & Psychology
- Analyse customer motivations, objections and decision-making behaviours
- Use behavioural insights to shape messaging and creative direction
- Identify key friction points throughout the customer journey
- Ensure creative strategies reflect real-world customer needs and decision drivers
- Campaign & Conversion Strategy
- Support the development of campaign concepts and messaging systems
- Create messaging frameworks designed to improve engagement and conversion
- Help shape how demand is created and captured through creative influence
- Improve campaign effectiveness through strategic customer understanding
- Testing & Optimisation
- Support structured testing programmes across messaging and creative performance
- Contribute to continuous experimentation and learning initiatives
- Refine creative strategies based on performance insights and customer behaviour
- Promote a culture of optimisation rather than one-off campaign thinking
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with the Creative Director on narrative and campaign development
- Work alongside Growth Directors to shape strategic messaging direction
- Collaborate with UX, CRO and Lifecycle teams to improve customer influence
- Ensure creative strategy supports operational execution and ongoing optimisation
About You
We're looking for a commercially minded strategist who understands how creative thinking can influence customer behaviour and drive measurable business outcomes. You'll likely bring:
- Experience in creative strategy, growth marketing, customer acquisition or performance-focused marketing environments
- Strong understanding of customer psychology and behavioural influence
- Ability to translate insights and data into actionable creative direction
- Experience developing messaging frameworks and campaign strategies
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A commercial mindset with a focus on measurable outcomes
- Understanding of conversion optimisation and customer journey principles
- A naturally curious approach to customer behaviour and decision-making
Why Join?
This is an opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation that is building a modern creative strategy function focused on growth, performance and measurable impact. The role will continue to evolve, becoming increasingly:
- Data-informed
- AI-assisted
- Psychology-led
- Commercially measurable
- Fully integrated across the wider growth ecosystem
If you're excited by the idea of using creative strategy to drive customer acquisition and business growth, I'd love to hear from you.
