About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Lean Six Sigma Business Transformation Consultant to join a high-profile Primary Market Oversight transformation programme within a leading Financial Services organisation. This role will play a key part in reviewing and enhancing business processes, operating models, governance frameworks, and data management capabilities to support the effectiveness and competitiveness of the UK market. You will work closely with business stakeholders to assess current-state operations, identify improvement opportunities, and design future-state processes that deliver greater efficiency, stronger controls, enhanced data quality, and regulatory compliance. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Lean Six Sigma practitioner who thrives in complex, regulated environments and has a proven track record of driving sustainable business transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead assessments of current-state business processes across multiple functions.
- Identify process inefficiencies, operational risks, bottlenecks, control gaps, and data quality challenges.
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and stakeholder engagement sessions to gather requirements and validate findings.
- Apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies to drive process optimisation and operational excellence.
- Design future-state processes that improve efficiency, governance, scalability, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop Target Operating Model (TOM) recommendations, including process ownership, governance structures, and control frameworks.
- Identify and prioritise quick wins, medium-term improvements, and strategic transformation initiatives.
- Assess automation opportunities and recommend process digitisation solutions.
- Enhance data governance, reporting, and information management capabilities.
- Produce high-quality process maps, gap analyses, recommendations, and executive-level presentations.
- Develop practical implementation roadmaps and change plans to support successful delivery.
- Work collaboratively with senior stakeholders to build consensus and drive adoption of new ways of working.
Required Experience
Essential
- Proven experience delivering Lean Six Sigma-led transformation programmes.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Strong background in process improvement, process re-engineering, and operational excellence.
- Experience designing and implementing Target Operating Models (TOMs).
- Expertise in current-state and future-state process mapping.
- Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.
- Experience identifying governance, risk, and control improvements.
- Ability to translate complex business challenges into practical recommendations and solutions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Experience working within complex and highly regulated environments.
