About the Role
I’m recruiting on behalf of a specialist cybersecurity client who is expanding their penetration testing function. They are seeking an experienced CHECK Team Member (CTM) to support a broad portfolio of government and commercial security testing engagements. This is an excellent opportunity for a CTM-certified penetration tester who thrives in technically challenging environments and wants to grow within a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver penetration testing assignments across infrastructure, web, cloud, internal networks, and mobile
- Conduct CHECK-approved engagements within secure or sensitive environments
- Document findings clearly and produce concise, high-quality technical reports
- Provide remediation guidance and support to clients
- Collaborate with senior testers and consultants during large or complex assessments
- Travel to client sites as required (UK only)
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Active SC clearance – Essential
- Strong penetration testing experience across multiple domains
- Solid understanding of exploitation techniques, security controls, and vulnerability analysis
- Proficiency with common security testing tools (e.g., Burp Suite, Nmap, Metasploit, Kali Linux, etc.)
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently on client engagements
- Certifications such as OSCP, OSWE, eCPPT, CREST, or GIAC equivalents
- Scripting experience in Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar
- Experience in government, defence, or high-assurance environments
