We're currently looking for an experienced Content Designer to join a high-profile public sector programme delivering user-centred digital services. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong Government Digital Service (GDS) experience who is passionate about creating clear, accessible and user-focused content that helps citizens successfully interact with government services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop content for digital services in line with GDS standards and principles.
  • Work closely with User Researchers, Service Designers, Business Analysts and Developers within agile multidisciplinary teams.
  • Create clear, concise and accessible content based on user needs and evidence.
  • Conduct content audits, reviews and iterations to continuously improve user journeys.
  • Ensure all content meets accessibility requirements and follows GOV.UK style guidelines.
  • Contribute to content strategy and support service assessments where required.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience working as a Content Designer within GDS/government environments.
  • Strong understanding of GOV.UK style guides, accessibility standards and service manual principles.
  • Experience designing content for complex digital services.
  • Ability to use research insights and data to inform content decisions.
  • Comfortable working in agile delivery teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
