We are looking for an experienced React Native Engineer to take ownership of Front End delivery for a new digital platform within a fast-moving, start-up-style product team. You will build production-ready mobile and web experiences, work closely with product, UX, Back End, DevOps and architecture teams, and help shape the future Front End technology stack. A key part of the role will involve using AI coding tools to accelerate development. You must have the technical expertise to guide AI effectively, review generated code, identify hallucinations or poor solutions, and ensure everything is properly tested and production-ready.
Essential Experience:
- Strong commercial React Native experience
- Strong TypeScript experience
- Experience building and releasing production mobile applications
- Experience with Expo and modern React Native tooling
- Strong understanding of Front End architecture, APIs and state management
- Experience with automated testing, monitoring and code quality
- Ability to take ownership of Front End delivery
- Experience using AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor or GitHub Copilot
- Ability to critically review and validate AI-generated code
- Strong communication skills
