Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Finance Solution Architect to support a major Workday transformation programme. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled architect with strong finance domain expertise and proven experience delivering solutions within Workday environments.

The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the future-state finance architecture, ensuring business requirements are translated into scalable, efficient, and best-practice solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of finance solution architecture within a Workday environment.
  • Partner with Finance, Technology, and Business stakeholders to define future-state processes and capabilities.
  • Translate business requirements into robust, scalable solution designs.
  • Provide expert guidance on Workday Financial Management, reporting, integrations, and data architecture.
  • Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards and business objectives.
  • Support implementation partners and internal delivery teams throughout the project life cycle.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and optimisation opportunities across finance systems and processes.
  • Drive best practices across finance transformation and ERP architecture.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience as a Solution Architect within finance transformation programmes.
  • Strong experience delivering one or more Workday implementations, ideally including Workday Financial Management.
  • Deep understanding of finance processes, operating models, and finance systems.
  • Experience designing integrations and managing data flows across enterprise applications.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud-based ERP platforms and enterprise architecture principles.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to engage effectively with senior business and technical stakeholders.

Desirable Experience

  • Workday Financial Management certification or extensive practical experience.
  • Experience within large-scale transformation programmes.
  • Exposure to retail or customer-focused organisations.
