Job Description

Job Title: Data Architect – Security Cleared (EDV)
Location: London or Cheltenham
Salary: Up to £90,000 to £100,000 + Benefits Type: Permanent | Full-Time
Data Modelling | Data Tagging | Data Migration | AWS

Are you a skilled Data Architect with existing security clearance (or eligible for EDV)?
Join a high-impact organisation where your expertise will shape national data strategy, drive interoperability, and influence policy across departments.

Role:
As a Data Architect, you'll play a key role in designing and implementing cross-organisational data standards and policies. You'll work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure data is discoverable, trusted, and aligned with strategic goals.
They are looking for someone who not only understands data architecture inside out-but can also build strong relationships, communicate clearly with stakeholders, and influence decision-makers across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop standards for data labelling, lineage, quality, and discovery
  • Collaborate with Data Platform teams, Information Managers, and Architects
  • Shape and align practical data policies across the organisation
  • Support cloud migration and data platform modernisation

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong understanding of complex data environments and ability to simplify for non-technical audiences
  • Proven experience achieving data interoperability across systems or organisations
  • Hands-on experience with data models, ontologies, catalogues, lakes, and warehouses
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently
  • Ideally, experience with AWS and cloud data migration
  • Bonus: Familiarity with public sector tech, data, and compliance frameworks

Security Clearance:
Must hold or be eligible for EDV clearance (Only candidates who meet this requirement will be considered)
