Our client is a well respected and award winning firm located in Ipswich. They are seeking an experienced Risk Executive to join their team. The Risk Oversight Department acts as the Firm's second line risk function, providing oversight of the risk management framework and how key risks are managed and mitigated.

Responsibilities
- Oversight and challenge of the Firm's Enterprise Risk Management Framework
- Maintenance of the Firm's Risk Appetite Statement, risk related policies and frameworks
- Supervising and supporting the Firm's Cross-cutting Risk & Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs) for Top Risks to assist with Firm's ICARA process
- Oversight and challenge of the Firm's RCSAs for business area risks
- Monitoring Risk based approach to monitoring the top risks of the business
- Monitoring of Risk Event trends and outcomes
- Monitoring of the firm's PA dealing prior approval process
- Sample monitoring of outsourced activities, including transaction reporting
- Following up on monitoring findings and escalating and reporting adverse findings through the relevant channels
Reporting
- Preparation of regular MI reporting for governance forums, committees and Senior Management as required
- Monthly monitoring reporting to the Risk & Compliance Forum
- Quarterly Top Risks reporting to the Audit & Risk Committee
Requirements
- The successful candidate should have at least 3 years experience in a Risk Management role in the Financial Services Industry
- An understanding of the UK Financial Services Regulatory Environment
- Relevant financial services industry qualifications, e.g. CISI, CII or similar
- Good working knowledge of Excel
- The ability to work unaided and to use initiative when the need arises
