Opus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our Client, Walsall Council, to appoint a conscientious, resourceful and dedicated Security Assistant to join their security team, ensuring the care, safety and security of visitors, building, and exhibits.
Responsibilities
- Key holder responsible for opening, securing, and locking the building, including alarm operation.
- Carry out regular building patrols and security checks to maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Monitor CCTV and control access for visitors, contractors, and deliveries.
- Respond appropriately to security incidents, emergencies, and alarm activations.
- Support the day-to-day operation of the venue, including event set‑ups and maintaining site standards.
Essential Requirements
- Aged 18 or over.
- Valid SIA Licence.
- Previous key holding experience, including opening and securing premises.
- Experience of building security, site patrols, and lock‑up procedures.
- CCTV qualification desirable but not essential.
- Previous security or door supervision experience preferred.
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
- Strong communication skills with a professional and friendly approach.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good attention to detail and understanding of security best practices.
