Opus people solutions on behalf of Northampton Childrens Trust have an exciting opportunity for a Social Worker to join their Children in Care Court team.

Job Title: Social Worker – Children in Care Court TeamLength of assignment: 3 MonthsHours per week: 37Hourly rate: £38Location: Kettering, NorthamptonRemote/Office based: Hybrid

About the Role:

Our Children in Care Team provides oversight for all the children in care in Northamptonshire. This includes children subject to legal proceedings as well as children with a plan to remain long term in our care. We focus on building meaningful relationships with young people, their families and their carers to ensure that we plan effectively for the future of every child. You’ll be conducting clear, accurate assessments, coordinating multi-agency approaches, and building positive relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a caseload of court proceedings
  • To complete assessments and court reports
  • These are posts within Children in Care Teams with a specific Court function Undertake statutory visits and required tasks of case holding social worker
