About the Role
Shropshire is seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join the Case Management Team on an initial 3-month contract. This role offers hybrid working and the opportunity to support children and families at key stages of intervention.
Location: Shropshire
Contract: 3 months initially
Working Pattern: Hybrid - 1 day per week in the office
Pay Rate: £30.57 per hour (umbrella)
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a complex caseload of children and families under Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), Pre-Proceedings (PLO) and court proceedings
- Undertake statutory home visits and direct work with children and families
- Attend and contribute to core group meetings, strategy discussions and multi-agency forums
- Prepare high-quality court reports and maintain accurate case records
- Work in line with statutory guidance, local policies and best practice standards
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
- Significant experience working with CIN, CP, PLO and court work
- Strong assessment, report writing and case management skills
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within a team
