With continued growth and a strong pipeline of projects, we are looking for an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join our dynamic and collaborative team in Matlock.
As a Senior Building Surveyor, you’ll take the lead on a variety of building surveying tasks, from inspections and defect analysis to managing refurbishment projects and delivering expert advice to clients. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a broad range of sectors which include Local Authorities, Schools and Multi Academy trusts, helping shape the built environment and grow your professional profile.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct building surveys, site inspections, and measured surveys
- Prepare detailed reports, including schedules of condition and dilapidation
- Project manage refurbishments, maintenance, and fit-out schemes
- Advise clients on design, construction, maintenance, and repair
- Mentor and support junior talent within the team and support Senior Leadership Team where required
- Ensure compliance with legal, environmental, and health & safety regulations
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- MRICS qualified (or working towards with significant experience) Desired not essential
- Proven track record in building surveying, ideally within commercial and educational settings
- Strong knowledge of building pathology, construction techniques, and legislation
- Commercially aware and client-focused
- Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
- Full UK driving license
