My client is looking for an experienced HGV Mechanic / Technician to join their friendly and supportive workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a varied fleet of HGVs, light commercial vehicles and specialist equipment in a stable, long-term role. This is a 12 week temp to permanent role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on HGVs and fleet vehicles
- Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections and ensure compliance with DVSA standards
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults
- Complete inspection reports and workshop documentation accurately
- Support vehicle breakdowns when required
- Work safely and maintain high workshop standards
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds Level 3, or equivalent qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
- Previous experience as an HGV Mechanic, HGV Technician or Commercial Vehicle Technician
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience working on commercial vehicles and heavy plant desirable
- LGV Class 2 (Category C) licence advantageous but not essential
- Ability to work independently and as part of a great team
