About the Role:
Based at Glentress Forest Cafe, EH458NB you will be working 32 hours a week which includes weekends and bank holidays. You'll play a key role in preparing and serving high-quality food that meets our standards and delights our customers.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Food preparation: handling day-to-day duties and ensuring dishes meet site standards.
- Cooking and service: managing your station and delivering food on time.
- Safety and hygiene: following best practices with equipment, utensils, and food storage.
- Stock management: keeping ingredients fresh and reordering stock when supplies run low.
- Teamwork: collaborating with the culinary team to maintain quality and service throughout the shift.
Who are we looking for?
- Proven chef experience.
- Knowledge of cooking methods and processes, with the ability to multitask under pressure.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Food hygiene certification at Level 2 (desirable).
