About the Role

Based at Lantern Lane Primary School Annex, LE12 6QN, you will be working split shifts, 7:00am to 8:30am and 4:30pm to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday, working 15 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. You'll play a key role in providing high quality caretaking services to oversee the maintenance, safety, security and cleanliness of the school site.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out day to day maintenance and minor repairs
  • Opening and securing the school site
  • Ensuring heating, lighting and alarm systems are operating correctly
  • Carrying out and recording basic checks and maintaining Health and Safety records
  • Monitoring site stocks and undertaking cleaning duties where required
  • Maintaining external areas to ensure they are safe and presentable
  • Supporting contractors on site and reporting any defects or maintenance issues
  • Demonstrating Health and Safety awareness and a willingness to attend training courses, all training will be provided
