We are looking for a Payroll & Pensions Trainee to join our friendly and professional Payroll & Pensions team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and experience in delivering accurate, compliant, and high-quality payroll and pension services to our customers. Key Responsibilities
- Support our team of specialists to deliver the portfolio of end-to-end monthly payrolls
- Complete payroll processes accurately and within agreed timescales
- Administer pension processes including Auto Enrolment, AVCs, Local Government and Teacher Pension Schemes
- Process pension joiners, leavers, transfers, retirements, and in-service changes
- Reconcile payroll and pension data and produce accurate reports
- Liaise with pension providers, finance teams, and other stakeholders
- Support investigations into and resolve payroll and pension queries in a timely and professional manner
- Support the administration aspect of audits, compliance activities, and continuous improvement initiatives
About You
We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, organised, and eager to learn. You will have:
- Experience in or a strong desire to learn payroll processing and pension administration
- Excellent computer literacy skills, including all Microsoft packages
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- High attention to detail
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively
- A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information appropriately
