Vertas is looking for a dedicated Catering Account Manager to join our Catering Team.

About the Role

You will play a key role in managing commercial relationships with customer organisations, ensuring the successful delivery of catering services whilst retaining and growing business opportunities.

You'll support operational excellence across multiple sites, ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with contractual requirements.

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key decision makers across customer organisations
  • Managing contracts and supporting tendering activities to retain and grow business
  • Monitoring the delivery of catering services across multiple sites against agreed targets
  • Managing operational budgets and ensuring financial performance is achieved
  • Leading, developing and supporting catering teams across your areas of responsibility
  • Supporting the recruitment, retention, training and development of colleagues
  • Working collaboratively with customers to develop service improvements and new opportunities
  • Undertaking regular site visits, audits and service reviews
  • Monitoring service quality, compliance and performance standards
  • Managing relationships with third party contractors and suppliers
  • Supporting the implementation of customer specific service strategies
  • Deputising for the Senior Account Manager when required
  • Who are we looking for
  • Previous experience within catering operations, contract management or account management
  • Experience managing service delivery across multiple sites
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Experience managing budgets and financial performance
  • Excellent communication, relationship building and customer service skills
  • Good understanding of contract management principles and best practice
  • Knowledge of marketing and promotional activities
  • Sound knowledge of health and safety legislation and compliance requirements
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise workloads effectively
  • A proactive and customer focused approach
