Opus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of Rugby Borough Council for a Highways Operative to join the Street Scene Team.
Suitable applicants will be able to demonstrate their skills along with knowledge and experience across a variety of groundworks and highways work, and will be able to maintain a high standard and at an acceptable pace to ensure the customer receives the best quality service.
This role will involve:
- Excavation / drainage
- Tarmacking (hot lay, asphalt/bitumen)
- Construction of footpaths/steps
- Groundwork
- Installation of street furniture
- Watercourse Clearance & maintenance
Basic IT skills will be required for this role although in house training will be provided.
Applicants are required to provide their own basic tools for this position and a full valid UK driving license is essential.
