About the Role: Working across the Rushcliffe area of Nottinghamshire, you will support the Account Manager in delivering high quality Building Cleaning and Caretaking services across a large and diverse portfolio of sites. You will help manage approximately 150 frontline employees and ensure that more than 50 customer locations receive an effective, compliant, and customer focused service. The customer base includes schools, academies, fire stations, depots, libraries, offices, and other Nottinghamshire County Council associated sites. This is a hands-on operational role that combines people management, customer engagement, quality assurance, and service delivery.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Account Manager with the day-to-day management of Building Cleaning and Caretaking contracts.
- Undertaking performance management, conduct management, and first level absence management of frontline colleagues.
- Assisting with recruitment activities and maintaining staffing levels through the effective deployment of mobile and cover staff.
- Carrying out regular site inspections to ensure contractual standards are achieved and maintained.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers across multiple locations.
- Supporting the financial performance and sustainability of service contracts.
- Attending customer meetings and advising on service delivery and contract requirements.
- Ensuring compliance with service level agreements, specifications, and Health and Safety requirements.
- Providing operational cover for Building Cleaning and Caretaking roles when required.
Who are we looking for?
- Previous supervisory experience within a facilities management or contract management environment.
- Experience within Building Cleaning, Caretaking, or a related facilities service.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent customer care and client relationship management abilities.
- Experience managing both physical and human resources to achieve operational and financial targets.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A flexible approach to working hours to meet service needs.
