Hourly rate: £14.82

Working hours: 40 per week across 6 week rolling shift rota (shifts run 7 days a week between 8am and 10pm)

Location: Rugby Town Centre

Contract: until March 2027

Role Overview: Opus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of Rugby Borough Council for Community Wardens for visible support and enforcement within the town centre. You will carry out enforcement patrols for a variety of council issues and recognisable presence to deter anti-social behaviour throughout the Borough of Rugby.

Main duties:

  • To encourage good behaviour and compliance with a variety of legislation to make Rugby cleaner, greener and safer.
  • Issue fixed Penalty Notices, Penalty charge notices and Public Space Protection Orders.
  • Dealing with public breaches for a range of offences this can include:
    • Littering
    • Parking contraventions (including issuing PCNs), machine checks and repair faults
    • Fly tipping
    • Trade waste
    • Dog control orders
    • Stray dogs collection and transport to owners or kennels
    • Noise smoke nuisance
    • Emergency responses to food, health safety service reports
    • Licensing investigations
    • Taxi rank inspections
    • Enviro crime statements evidence gathering
