Hours: Up to 25 hours per week, Monday - Sunday. Shift Rota, Out of Hours On Call duties. Rota Patterned - between 8am - 6pm. Special Events - late finish.
Pay Rate: £14.59 per hour PAYE / £19.68 per hour UMB
Location: Based at The New Art Gallery, Walsall
Duration: Temporary basis, 3 - 6 months with potential to extend.
Your duties will include:
- Promoting the safe and secure running of the venue during opening hours by monitoring CCTV, patrolling the building, screening contractors, and supporting health and safety.
- Acting as a key holder, opening and locking down the site, operating alarm systems, and being on-call to attend site out-of-hours when required.
- Supporting the invigilation of gallery spaces as required, with an emphasis on visitor experience and customer care.
- Appropriately dealing with any security incidents and emergency situations as they arise.
- Assisting with practical aspects of a busy venue, including monitoring deliveries, supporting set-ups for events and hires, and light cleaning duties.
Essential Requirements:
- Must be 18 years old and over.
- Valid SIA licence is essential.
- CCTV qualification is beneficial, not essential.
- Previous door guarding experience is preferred.
- Local to Walsall.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Good communication skills and friendly manner.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Conscientious with an attention to detail.
- Knowledge regarding best practice and SIA security trained.
