An exciting opportunity has arisen for Environmental Protection professionals to join a progressive Environmental Services team. Opportunities are available across career grades from Environmental Protection Officer through to Principal Environmental Protection Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate environmental complaints including noise nuisance, pollution, and anti-social behaviour
  • Deliver environmental enforcement and regulatory services
  • Prepare reports, legal documentation, and prosecution files
  • Provide technical advice to residents, businesses, and partner agencies
  • Support public health and environmental quality improvements
  • Lead complex investigations and mentor junior staff at senior levels
  • Represent the organisation at hearings, appeals, and court proceedings

Essential Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent Level 6 qualification in Environmental Health or an Environmental Protection related subject
  • Associate membership of a relevant professional body such as: CIEH, IAQM, IEMA
  • Full membership of a relevant professional body such as: CIEH, IAQM, IEMA, IOA
  • Strong understanding of Environmental Protection legislation and enforcement practices
  • Excellent communication, investigative, and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage workloads and work independently
