Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker (Advanced Practitioner level) to join its Safeguarding & Support Team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive and restorative local authority, managing complex safeguarding cases while making a positive impact on the lives of children and families.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and respond to allocated safeguarding work in line with legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Undertake assessments in accordance with the Framework for the Assessment of Children in Need and their Families.
- Develop and implement family-led restorative plans based on assessed needs.
- Work collaboratively with children, young people, families, and partner agencies.
- Promote participation and partnership working with children and their families.
- Complete regular reviews of plans, recording outcomes and updating interventions accordingly.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic and manual case records.
- Prepare detailed reports for statutory reviews, child protection conferences, panels, and court proceedings.
- Participate actively in supervision, performance management, and professional development activities.
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
- Significant experience working within Children's Safeguarding Services.
- Strong experience managing:
- Child Protection cases
- Children in Need cases
- Court work
- Ability to work effectively within a restorative practice framework.
- Experience handling complex caseloads.
