We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Advanced Practitioner to join our Social Work Academy at Peterborough City Council. This is a pivotal role supporting the development of newly qualified social workers (ASYE) and mentoring less experienced team members. You will play a key part in shaping the future of social work practice through supervision, coaching, and assessment.
Working Arrangements: Hybrid
Hourly Pay Rate: Β£40-Β£42
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide supervision and Practice Educator support to ASYE social workers under the direction of the Team Manager.
- Carry a complex caseload appropriate to your qualifications, experience, and competencies, with a high degree of autonomy and regular supervision.
- Coach and mentor less experienced staff, promoting best practice and continuous professional development.
- Work collaboratively with service users and their families to assess needs and deliver appropriate services.
- Ensure all work is carried out within the legislative and procedural framework of Peterborough City Council.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of social work practice and contribute to the development of the Social Work Academy.
What Weβre Looking For:
- Qualified Social Worker with relevant registration.
- Experience in supervising and mentoring social workers, ideally within an ASYE framework.
- Strong understanding of social work legislation, policy, and procedures.
- Excellent communication, assessment, and organisational skills.
- Commitment to promoting high standards of practice and continuous learning.
