About the Role

Bedgebury Café, TN17 2SJ – 30 hours a week (four days a week on a rota basis, 8 am – 4:30 pm). The Assistant Chef will help prepare and serve meals to a high standard while ensuring food safety and hygiene regulations are followed.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation and cooking of meals
  • Serve food and maintain portion control
  • Ensure kitchen and equipment are kept clean and hygienic
  • Follow health, safety and food hygiene procedures
  • Travel between sites as required

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a catering or kitchen environment (preferred)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable and flexible with a positive attitude
  • Must hold a valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle
  • Excellent organisational and time‑management skills
  • The right to work in the UK
