We are currently recruiting for an experienced Repairs Officer to join our client’s Repairs and Maintenance Team on a 3 month rolling contract. This is a key role supporting the delivery of high-quality, compliant housing maintenance services.
The Role
As a Repairs Officer, you will play an integral part in the day to day operational management of repairs and maintenance services, working closely with contractors and internal teams to ensure excellent service delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing day to day repairs and maintenance operations
- Managing contractors to ensure works are delivered efficiently and to a high standard
- Ensuring compliance with all statutory and legal obligations as a social housing landlord
- Driving a cost-effective and customer focused maintenance service
- Supporting continuous service improvements across the housing portfolio
- Travelling to sites as required
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Technical qualification/accreditation enabling supervision of gas works (in line with The Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998)
- Strong experience in repairs and maintenance within a housing or property environment
- Experience managing contractors and service delivery
